Baltimore's Best   Year after Year
Nick Chagouris, Sr. Circa 1984
Carrying on the Tradition
Chef Lew and The Steamin' Deamon Nick the Next

Lew of all Trades not only built the Fish House, renovate the Market, but then he went on to invent the breakfast Crabcake Ham & Cheese Bomb! All this from the guy who first sat next to Tommy in 7th grade at Hamilton Jr. High School. If you saw these guys every day you'd see they still act like that.

Nick the Next holds the distinct honor of being the grandson of founder Nick Chagouris. Young Nick, a gifted athlete in his own right, has been the recipient of many awards and trophies. He is particularly proud of receiving the MVP award in both soccer and lacrosse in the sixth grade at the Boys' Latin School. Nick brings that same level of intensity and  expertise to his crab steaming position at the market.

History of Nick's
It all started
with the arrival of Stella and Louis from Sparta, Greece in the 1920s.
Their fish market, Matthews and Chagouris, was located in Baltimore's
Lexington Market.

Years later, in 1972, Nicholas the son of Stella and Louis realized his own dream and opened Nick's Seafood with the help of his sons Lou, Tommy and Nick, Jr. The business grew and eventually consolodated from locations in Hollins Market & Cross Street Market to its present location.

In a city that is no stranger to world class seafood and shellfish, Nicholas' dream was transformed into what is locally known as the
best seafood around.

We invite you to come join the tradition. You'll be glad you did.
Life goes on...

On St. Patrick's Day 2004, Nick's Fish House opened on the site of an old city marina and outlaw party bar known as the Dead Eye. Many of the old ghosts were put to rest. A few others were stirred up. Nick's Oyster Bar is very proud of the small role it played in the creation of this fine establishment.

Nick's Marina & Fish House is accessible by water, features an outdoor crab deck and live music throughout the summer and fall. The Fish House features a full dining menu and bus service to Ravens Games. Come Join the Party.
